Milana Carruth

Refuge Worship + Milana Caruth – Refuge Worship is the in-house worship band from The Refuge Church. Comprised of staff, volunteer musicians, and worship leaders, Refuge Worship seeks to encounter the Lord in every service and gathering. Milana Carruth, is the Greensboro Campus Worship Director and will be joining us for this event.

Kelanie Webb

Kelanie Webb is the Worship Director of MorningStar Ministries as well as the Director of MSU’s School of Worship. For more than 25 years, she has been ministering as a prophetic worship leader, songwriter, recording artist and teacher. She is passionate about equipping and releasing musicians and singers in prophetic worship and creative songwriting. Kelanie has ministered in churches, worship schools and conferences in the United States and in many other nations. She and her husband, Gary, currently reside in Fort Mill, SC with their sweet dogs, Annabelle and Rapha.

Christa Smith

Whether speaking nationally or internationally, Christa’s passion for the Lord pours out of her. Her life was significantly marked after a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit as a young girl. From that moment on, the Prophetic heart of the Father became the foundation of her walk with Jesus.

Christa delivers what she hears from the Holy Spirit with humor, accuracy, and powerful personal experiences. She is known for her passionate preaching and down to earth approachability, but what many people don’t know is that Christa is a student of Krav Maga, a home design enthusiast, and lover of all things cozy!

Christa’s background includes graduating from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Communication. She then went on to Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, Australia where she completed the Pastoral Ministry Program. She has planted and has been Director of two Schools of Ministry; one in the San Francisco Bay area and the other in Las Vegas, Nevada. Christa has also served as Associate Pastor at Garden Valley Church in Roseburg, Oregon and Executive Pastor at Expression 58 in Glendale, California. Christa has added author to her resume by releasing her first book, ‘Singled Out in a Couples World’. She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay area and travels full time with her husband, Sean, ministering together throughout America & beyond.

Encounter Services

Several times throughout the year, hundreds of women gather from all over the city for these special events. Each night is marked with incredible worship, life-changing messages by Pastor Teri Furr (or other leading voices that we bring in from around the country), and Spirit-led ministry time.

Cultivate

These Thursday morning events provide an opportunity for ladies to cultivate their relationship with God in a more intimate setting. Throughout the year, we provide different mini series on various topics along with a time of worship, a powerful teaching, and personal ministry.

Prayer Experience

This weekly event is the perfect setting for women looking for encouragement, connection with others, and growth in their prayer lives. Join us on Mondays at 9:00 AM.

We have prayer teams available for personal ministry for individuals seeking physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. The ministry teams are made up of 2 or 3 people who are committed to providing a safe atmosphere for people to experience God’s healing power. During their ministry session, people are given an opportunity to encounter the healing presence of the Holy Spirit through prayer and inner healing exercises. The predominant ministry method used for these sessions is SOZO Ministry:

SOZO is the Greek word translated “saved, healed, delivered.” SOZO ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry aimed to get to the root of things hindering a personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. With a healed connection, one can walk in the destiny to which they have been called.

A SOZO session is not a counseling session but a time for the SOZO team to sit down with individuals and with the help of the Holy Spirit walk them through the process of freedom and wholeness.

If you are interested in scheduling a SOZO session, fill out the application below, and our team will be in contact shortly.”

Maria Durso

In 1975, immediately following the first most important walk Maria would ever take down a church aisle—Maria took her second most important walk down the aisle and married her life-long love, Michael Durso. Together she has pastored along side of her husband, Senior Pastor Michael Durso at Christ Tabernacle, the first church to be birthed from The Brooklyn Tabernacle, since 1985. They have witnessed, firsthand, the faithfulness and grace of God who supplies the needs of a continually growing urban church.

Maria Durso is living proof that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation
(2 Corinthians 5:17). Having come from a childhood devastated by loss and
abuse she grew up to thinking she could mask her pain with drugs. Her
lifestyle could have left her hopeless and alone—yet God kept and
preserved Maria’s life.

Understanding firsthand the effects of abandonment, loneliness and rejection are, she ministers to those whose hurt lies deep in the heart and works to minister to those who need hope. Armed with discernment, insight into the true character of God, honest about her own experience, and down to earth, Maria is an intercessor, teacher, and powerful speaker.

Believing that our greatest ministry is prayer, she oversees the Prayer Band, a group that intercedes daily for the needs of the congregation, various ministries, the Pastoral staff and requests that are phoned in to the church. Maria also oversees the Women’s Ministry at Christ Tabernacle, a ministry that encourages women through fellowship, worship, and the Word of God.

Maria recently published her first book, From Your Head to Your Heart. With powerful examples from the Bible and redeeming stories from her testimony involving abandonment, loneliness, rejection, and drug use—this book will give you the keys to access the power in God’s Word. Begin the renewing journey from your head to your heart today.

Blessed with a wonderful husband and three sons in ministry, their wives and grandmother to eight, Maria considers herself wholly blessed. The Durso’s look forward to the great plans God has for their ministry, their lives, and their family. God continues to open doors for her to minister in conferences, seminars, and retreats. Connect with Maria Durso at MariaDurso.com.
