What to expect on your first visit
We would love to have you visit one of our services! We consider every guest as a part of our family. You’ll be greeted by our smiling Serve volunteers and we’ll have a special gift for you just to say thank you for visiting. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to assist you. Please also feel free to join us each week for a live virtual worship experience. Find us here on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/RefugeGreensboro
Where Should I Park?
Upon arrival, look for the Parking Team (wearing yellow vests). Feel free to let them know it’s your first time! They will assist you in finding guest parking. If you have children, you will be directed to the Refuge Kids building where you will register your kids. We have classrooms for every age.
How Should I Dress?
Our church welcomes guests from all different walks of life. Jeans and a T-shirt are just as acceptable as a suit or a dress.
Where should I take my children?
We have the perfect place for your children 6 weeks old through fifth grade in our Refuge Kids building across from the Worship Center during the 9am service. Upon arrival, you will register your children for our Little Explorer classes ages 0-6, and/or our Great Adventure classes grades 1st-5th. Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Only registered parents/guardians will be able to pick-up their child at the end of the service.
What’s the music like?
The Refuge Church Greensboro Worship Team incorporates different styles of music that can be defined as cross cultural, exuberant, and transformative. You may connect with our contemporary gospel or our traditional hymn and modern mashups. We love to worship God and we know that taste in music is different for everyone. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where everyone can worship the Lord together and experience the presence of God.
Does Pastor Derrick Preach every week or is there a live feed?
The short answer to both questions is yes! We have the pleasure of receiving teaching from Pastor Derrick on most Sundays. On the weeks that we have a live feed, we hear the Word from our Senior Pastor, Jay Stewart. It is our prayer that every message will touch hearts and enrich your relationship with Christ.
How long does service last?
Each worship service lasts about 1.5 hours total. We appreciate you spending your time with us!
How can I get connected?
There are many ways to get connected with other church members. We have prayer groups, small groups, community events, and special classes that happen multiple times per year. We also encourage our members to get involved by serving in one of our ministries. We strive to provide many opportunities for deeper connection and growth in faith.
We want you here!
As you’re reading this, you may wonder if The Refuge Church Greensboro is the right place for you. We hope you’ll give us a chance to make you feel at home in a safe and comfortable place where you can grow spiritually.
