WELCOME TO THE REFUGE!
Someone has said that you will never discover new worlds unless you have courage to lose sight of the shore. Here at The Refuge, we are discovering new things each day as God leads us to becoming a community of people who don’t just “do” church, but who will "be" the church. If you are looking for the perfect church, you won’t find it here. What you will find is information about people meeting the challenges of life together, opportunities to become a part of events, meetings, and activities that are not just religious gatherings, and resources that may help you find purpose and direction for your life.
There are many different ideas about what a church should look like, what a church really is or isn’t, and why church is or is not relevant to life. Again, we don’t have all the answers, but we are not afraid to explore and investigate together. The ultimate goal for us is His presence, which causes us to take on His likeness.
As we tell people so often, there is no perfect church, and we certainly have our share of flaws here at The Refuge. We are new at this, seeing as The Refuge only began in April of 2004. There were forty people gathered in a basement, committed to figuring out how church could be the highlight of the week and not something we dreaded. Now, three years later, nearly 1000 people have joined the journey and are excited about “being” who God created them to be.
The excitement at The Refuge is contagious. It is our desire to be involved and associated with a community of people who love Christ, love others, and are excited about coming together to make a difference. We invite you to join us! We think you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you discover at The Refuge.
Let us know if we can be of help, and again, thanks for stopping by!

Rain or shine, we’ve got you covered! Pull into The Refuge, and our Frontline team of volunteers will make sure you have a parking spot and directions to where you or your family needs to go. Let our Guestcourts answer any questions you may have; we want you to feel taken care of from the moment you arrive at The Refuge.

Little Church…Ages 0-5
Bring your babies, tots and young children to Little Church. Here you will check them in and will be given a sticker with a number on it. If you are needed during service, this number will be put on a screen at the front of the auditorium. After checking in, the Little Church workers will direct you to the appropriate classroom for your child.
Clubhouse ROCK…Grades 1-5
Check your 1st through 5th grader in at Clubhouse Rock, located in the Youth Building to the right of the courtyard, before service. You and your child will both receive stickers with a number that will appear on screen in the auditorium if you are needed. Children will remain in Clubhouse ROCK until you come to get them after service.
Vertical…Youth Ministry Grades 6-12
Our Vertical Youth Ministry meets Wednesday nights at 6:30pm in the Youth Building. You are welcome to drop your student off early (around 6pm) to fellowship and hang out with other Vertical students. The Wednesday night service is over around 8pm, and you can pick your student up shortly thereafter.

Enjoy a cup of coffee and maybe a pastry before service from our Mugshot Café , located in the lobby of The Refuge. You are welcomed to take drinks with lids into the auditorium, as we hope to facilitate a warm, relaxed atmosphere in which you can enter the presence of God.
